Formed in 2008 in Portland, Maine, Colby Co. has served as the Prime Architect/Engineer designer for $500m+ in estimated construction costs.
From the owners
Colby Co. was founded by Sarah Emily and Calen Colby to be a multi-disciplinary firm offering architecture and mechanical, fire protection, electrical, structural and civil engineering. With 60+ employees and hundreds of projects under our belts, we offer a talented group of professionals.
Calen and Sarah Emily, along with co-owners Brian Beaulieu and Ben Townsend, are committed to Colby Co.’s goals of providing excellent service, unique opportunities for professional growth, and a respectful workplace.

Experienced with HVAC, industrial waste heat, CHP, solar, boilers, radiant heat, dehumidification systems, airflow dispersion analysis and absorption chillers
Providing medium and low voltage electrical service; distribution systems; emergency power generation; lighting; and alternative energy designs
Performs risk analysis and designs code-compliant fire suppression, alarm, and smoke control systems
